Recycle America

Englewood Schools has instituted a District wide recycling program. Our vendor for this project is Recycle America, a subsidiary of Waste Management. The program is called single stream recycling, which allows us to place all of our recyclables in the same container.

Recyclables are collected at various locations throughout the buildings and then transferred to a dumpster outside the building for pick up once a week by Recycle America trucks.

We are able to pick up cans, glass, paper, cardboard, and plastics and put them in the same container. No time consuming, unsanitary sorting process required.

This is just one of several programs Englewood Schools has engaged in to try and be more eco friendly.
